Girl with thorned hair

This is a sketch I have had on my mind for some time of a girl with hair made out of thorns. She can't really run her fingers through her hair or style it like other women can and when she touches it she pokes her finger and bleeds. I'm still working out the composition and the details, but in the drawing you can see drawn in lightly the blood dripping from her finger.

Hand Study 02

Hi Girls,
Here is another hand drawing I did. This time I looked online for hand photos to draw and took it in to photoshop to get more contrast. For the next one I'm going to take photos of my hand and my husband's hand for reference.

Hand study

Hey Girls! I hope everyone is having a great summer.
I know it's been a while since I posted on the blog and it would be great to continue the posts and get the ball rolling.
So here is a sketch I did of my hand holding an eraser. I'm trying to get better at drawing hands and looking for different methods to draw them.
I hope everyone has new posts for our blog! :)

Laura's Vixen

Here is my version of the voluptuous vixen. I was having a hard time thinking of how to portray a vixen and I did not know what I would draw until the last minute. I just started sketching this and had a hard time trying to draw the hand in perspective. I thought it would be cool to have the apple covering "Eve's" breasts as she is handing you the apple. I hope you guys like it. :)

Rainbow Brite....

This is my version of Rainbow Brite. I was never too familiar with the cartoon, but I do have some memories of Rainbow Brite, and since to me she's from the past I thought of her as an old idea in my head.

What is the process you go through in doing your art, as well as the types of tools you use: I always love to sketch out my ideas with pencil and paper first. What inspired you to become an artist: I grew up in an artistic household. My mom paints, knits, crochets, and does jewelry making. My grandmother and great grandmother also do different forms of art; such as embroidery, knitting, cake decorating, and sewing. I was always surrounded with creative people and had a passion for drawing.I remember at a very young age I loved to draw and color things in. I know the Disney movies influenced my decision to pursue art.
What is your most favorite subject to draw/why: I love to draw what I see. Life drawing is my favorite form of drawing; especially people.
