Hand Study 02

Hi Girls,

Here is another hand drawing I did. This time I looked online for hand photos to draw and took it in to photoshop to get more contrast. For the next one I'm going to take photos of my hand and my husband's hand for reference.

I know it's been a while since I posted on the blog and it would be great to continue the posts and get the ball rolling.

So here is a sketch I did of my hand holding an eraser. I'm trying to get better at drawing hands and looking for different methods to draw them.

Jane's Cute Wicked Witch

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays - brilliant autumn hues light up the trees as you breathe in that cool, crisp air after a rainy day. It really is the time for sweaters, scarves, and snuggles by the fireplace!

This wicked little thing has been lurking around my imagination since last month, so this Wicked Witch topic was perfectly timed for her escape. I gotta say, I wasn't expecting it to come out so simple and clean. I had grand plans for a very colorful piece, but as I worked on it, I just kept cutting out colors until it was pretty much just the 3 colors of dark blue, dark gray, and gold. Like they say, Keep It Simple Stupid, right?

Anyway I'm selling out and selling this on Cafepress if you or someone you might know would like a Wickedly Wearable companion ;)
